Players looking to get their game on whilst enjoying some hilarious drinking games have some exciting options here.

7 Marvel Snap
Putting Our Cards On The Table
- August 22, 2023
- Second Dinner
- Digital Card Game
The Rules: Simply launch a friendly game between the players, each of the players will start with 10 health. Each round, they’ll be wagering cubes (up to 8) per match to bet on their chances of winning. Losing the round means that the amount of points will be deducted from their total health. For the drinking game, we’re swapping out health points for sips, meaning how many cubes a player wagers will be how many sips they’ll be taking come that round’s end. If a player loses all 10 points, then they’ll be taking a shot to boot.
Marvel Snap: All Pool 1 Cards
With its shaking meta game and rotating card collection, Marvel Snap’s card pools are wild; here’s what’s awaiting players in the first series.
It’s early days for Marvel Snap but the cube system lends itself perfectly to being adjusted to a friendly drinking game. The reason it sits fairly low on the list is Marvel Snap is a strategic card game that unlocks stronger cards the more it’s played. Meaning, players that already have an account are sorted for a good time, but for any new players just coming into the fold, then understanding the locations and card abilities may make it a more daunting experience than a relaxing drinking game.

10 Beginner Tips For Fall Guys You Need To Know
Fall Guys presents a megamix of fun, challenge, and chaos. Here are the best tips for new players!
Fall Guys is already cathartic enough on its own that adding drinking game rules to it only seems like the next logical step. The game is great to spectate and be a part of, thanks in part to its game show aesthetic, so the mood won’t ever drop. Since the game’s launch back in 2020 the game has only continued to grow, adding new seasons and new maps to get stuck in, plus the game is free to play, which means it’s accessible to everyone, so there’s not really a given reason not to try it out
5 EA Sports FC 24 (Previous FIFA Titles)
More Than Your Average Kick About
The Rules: Hop into Kick-Off, select how many of the drinkers will be taking part (Up to 4 through couch Co-op), and assign the drinkers their teams.
- One sip: When a player is scored against. A player gives away a penalty. A player gets a yellow card.
- Take a shot when a player gets a red card. Have a penalty saved. A player’s keeper is chipped.
Sports games are common practice in the competitive couch co-op scene. No more so than EA Sports, the football game has been around a long time and lent itself to many a controversial result and heated exchanges between friends. So why not increase that tension by mixing in plenty of alcohol? Conceding chip shots is humiliating enough, but adding a shot of alcohol to that too? Talk about adding insult to injury.
4 Super Mario Party & Mario Party Superstars
One Game Drinks Plenty
The Rules: The aim of Mario Party is to move across the board collecting coins to buy stars. Whoever has the most stars at the end wins the game.
- 1 Sip: A player loses a Mini-game. Land on a red space. When a player has coins stolen
- 1 Chug: Land on a bad luck space. When an opponent buys a star.
- 1 Shot: A player has their star stolen.
Mario Party is already a staple for get-togethers in many family homes, and much like Monopoly, it’s also a staple of many fallouts. So infusing the game with alcoholic rules can only be a positive,… right? The selection of mini-games is vast and the game can be set up to run between 45 minutes to two hours, so it’s guaranteed the game won’t end like it started. Chuck in the fear of losing the coveted stars and coins with having to drink, and these fallouts might just happen sooner rather than later.
3 Mortal Kombat (Any Fighting Game Of Gamer’s Choice)
Not Your Typical Drunken Brawl
The Rules: It’s a fighting game. All gamers know the drill, up to three rounds of one-on-one combat to decide the victor.
- 1 chug: When a player loses a round. Blocked or hit by an X-Ray move.
- 1 Shot: If a player loses two games in a row. Defeated with a fatality.
Whilst Mortal Kombat is in the title we’ve gone with, feel free to swap this out for any fighting game of choice, the rules all transfer. Though we would say that Mortal Kombat offers a few more options in drinking rules as opposed to the others, plus it tends to be a strong candidate for accessible fighters among the opposition. It’s a fun fighter, it can work with both Mortal Kombat X, 11, or the latest released title Mortal Kombat 1.
2 Call Of Duty: Gun Game (Any Entry Featuring The Game Mode)
Guns Out, Funs Out, For Plenty Of Shots
The Rules: Gun Game sees players cycle twenty guns progressing each time they get a kill; the first to get a kill with the 20th gun wins. Players can be set back by being killed with a knife, which will demote them to the previous gun.
- 1 Sip: Every time the player’s character is killed.
- 1 Shot: Every time the player’s character is demoted.
Gun Game is one of the most enjoyable modes in Call of Duty and the ability to play it four-player split-screen means it’s the perfect option for a get-together drinking game. The rules are straightforward, the gun cycling is easy to track, plus players can even customize the rules to make it even more vicious. Knife kills set players back one gun? How about it sets them back 5? Or even right back to the starting gun.
1 Mario Kart
The Perfect Party Racer, Enhanced
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- April 28, 2017

So, each racer must pull over each time they want to have a drink. First across the finish line with an empty drink wins.
Every Mario Kart Game, Ranked
With over 30 years of Mario Kart fun, it’s time to look back at the best Mario Kart games and rank every Mario Kart game so far.
The Mario Kart drinking game or ‘Beerio Kart’ as it can sometimes be known is what we’d call the quintessential video game drinking game. Mario Kart was already a great party game due to its pick-up and play nature and wide roster of well-known characters. Plus the game mechanics have been designed to stop players from falling behind, keeping everyone in the action. That translates perfectly for the drinking game as pulling over to take sips, or just down it in one, meaning players can get useful power-ups and get themselves right back to the heat of the race in no time. In short, it’s simple, straightforward, and, like many Mario party games, players can guarantee there’ll never be a dull moment.
