Vivo Y400 Pro 5G, the upcoming Y series phone from the Chinese manufacturer, now has an official India launch date. It will be unveiled in India later this month and alongside confirming the phone’s launch date, Vivo also teased its design. The phone is said to be the segment’s slimmest phone with a 3D curved display. Although the price range is not yet known, the handset is expected to measure 7.4mm in thickness. It is tipped to run on Android 15 and offer several AI-backed features. The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G handset may launch alongside other Y400 series models.

Vivo Y400 Pro 5G India Launch

The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G will launch in India on June 20, the company confirmed in a press release. Vivo added that the handset will be slimmest in its segment with a 3D curved display. However, the price range of the phone has not yet been revealed. It is expected to launch in the Rs. 25,000 price segment.

We can expect to see other models from the Vivo Y400 lineup of smartphones to launch alongside the Pro variant, as the promotional poster from the company hints at the arrival of the Vivo Y400 Series.

The design seen in the promotional posters shows the Vivo Y400 5G with a vertical, slightly raised pill-shaped rear camera module. Within the island, we see two camera sensors placed in two squircle slots, one slightly bigger than the other. They appear alongside a squircle LED flash unit. While the camera island is seen in a silver finish, the rest of the back panel appears to have a white marbled pattern.

According to an earlier leak, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G could measure 7.4mm in thickness. The phone may get a 6.77-inch full-HD+ 3D curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness. It is likely to sport a dual rear camera unit including a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

Vivo Y400 5G will likely offer a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and could be offered in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage configurations. The phone is said to be backed by a 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging support.

The Vivo Y400 5G is tipped to ship with Android 15-based Funtouch 15 and offer AI features like AI Transcript Assist, AI Superlink, AI Note Assist, AI Screen Translation, and Circle to Search with Google. For security, the handset is said to carry an in-display optical fingerprint sensor. It is tipped to come in gold, nebula purple, and white colourways.
