Meet the Parents Sequel Confirms Ariana Grande Casting and Debuts Title, Release Window

Ready to spend some more time with the Fockers? Well, the upcoming fourth Meet the Parents sequel film finally has a title — and we now have official confirmation of the project’s new star.

As expected, Ariana Grande is set to appear in the fourth film in the Meet the Parents franchise — which today was announced as being titled Fockers In Law. Alongside the pop star, Ben Stiller, Robert DeNiro, Owen Wilson, Bythe Danner, and Teri Polo will reprise their roles from the original film. Social media accounts for the movie debuted the news, alongside a general release period and tagline.

“Give thanks for family,” read the film’s tagline, which corresponds with the project’s Thanksgiving 2026 release.

Rumors had recently been spreading that the pop singer was potentially taking part in the film, so it’s interesting to see that particular piece of industry gossip hold weight. Grande is mainly a vocalist in the mainstream, but got her start in musical theatre and on Broadway, so it makes sense to see her continue her transition to acting.

Grande’s most famous acting role to date is, of course, her starring turn in last year’s Wicked, in which she costarred as Glinda alongside Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba. The Wicked saga has been split into two films, with Grande set to reprise her role in the story’s second part, Wicked: For Good, which is set to premiere on November 21, 2025.

As for the Fockers, the original film Meet the Parents was released in 2000 to box office and critical success. Because of its popularity as a piece of defining early aughts comedy, a sequel was produced four years later called Meet the Fockers. Six years later, a third film titled Little Fockers was released in 2010.
