Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 Trailer Features Guest Star Lady Gaga

The second half of Wednesday season 2 is less than a month away — but fans can get a taste of what’s in store next with the brand new trailer, which Netflix just released. Here’s the thing, though: there’s one seriously major cameo in there that’s gonna knock your socks off.

None other than the iconic pop legend Lady Gaga will join season 2 as a guest star in the second half of its run. The trailer picks up with Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie) revealing to Wednesday that she isn’t, in fact, dead, but that she needs a new spirit guide, a job that Weems will fulfill as Wednesday embarks on a dangerous new quest. Tyler (Hunter Doohan) is still on the loose and coming for Wednesday and her friends, but Miss Addams is determined to stop him… and right at the end of the sneak peek, we can hear Lady Gaga say in a voiceover, “Beware. There will be a price to pay.”

The streamer has Gaga listed as a guest star in the season 2 press release, so it seems as though fans will actually get to see Gaga at some point in the next four episodes as well as hear her — and no doubt she’ll look awesome in the show’s typically lavish costumes. That said, we don’t know anything about her character just yet, so her involvement in the season is still mostly a mystery beyond this reveal.

Netflix also released some new images and a new poster for season 2, which features Wednesday laying down in a coffin with her arms crossed over her chest while giving an icy stare to the camera. It also includes a new tagline: “Season 2 will be the death of me.” Smart.

According to the streamer, here’s the official synopsis for season 2:

“Wednesday Addams returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.”

The first four episodes of season 2 are available to stream now on Netflix, with the next four coming to the platform on September 3.

“Wednesday continues to be passably entertaining mainly thanks to its visuals and its casting, particularly Jenna Ortega in the central role,” IGN wrote in our Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 review, which returned a 6/10 score.
