Disney World and Disneyland Raise Ticket Prices While Offering Ways to Save or Not Pay More

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World have just received increases to certain tickets, Annual Passes, and more. However, some tickets have remained the same, and there are still plenty of ways to save on your next Disney Parks vacation.

Disneyland and Walt Disney World regularly get annual ticket price hikes, and we’re here to break down exactly what that means for this year and next with the help of Disney and Gavin Doyle, founder of Mickey Visit.

Disneyland and Walt Disney World Ticket Price Increases

One important thing to note before we jump into the higher prices is that Disneyland has decided not to change the price of the lowest-tier ticket, which has remained $104 since 2019. However, its highest tier – Tier 6 – has increased from $206 to $224. For those unfamiliar, Tiers are determined by how busy a day is anticipated to be, with the highest tiers being reserved for Christmas and New Year’s time and other holidays.

According to Mickey Visit, who have been tracking the rising prices over the last decade, the rest of the tiers have jumped from 1.5% to 4.9%, and these increases are actually smaller than the jumps from last year, which ranged from 5.9% to 6.5%. Elsewhere, Disneyland’s longest and most expensive option – the five-day park hopper ticket – has increased in price by $39 and is now $655.

Disneyland’s two top tier Annual Pass options – the Inspire and Believe Magic Key passes – also have a new higher price, but the lower two – The Enchant and Imagine passes – will remain the same.

At Walt Disney World, certain November and December 2026 1-Day 1 Park Per Day ticket prices have escaped the $199 price point and reached $200 for the first time ever with the highest tier tickets costing $209/ticket.

However, from now until October 2026, the lowest and highest tiers will actually remain the same at $119 and $199, respectively. The tiers in between have all increased by an average of $5.

Annual pass pricing at Disney World has increased from $20-$80 for all passes, and parking has seen an increase of $5.

As we mentioned before, there are ways to still save and/or not spend more money when planning your next Disney vacation.

At Disneyland, there are still 32 days (over 17%) of days available to book in the next six months that are at that lowest tier of $104. Furthermore, Disneyland just announced a new 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket for California residents that will cost $249, which equals savings of over 50%, that is good for January 1 through May 21, 2026.

Those wanting to stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel can also save up to 20% on select stays of three or more nights between August 17 and December 19, 2025.

At Disney World, guests can save up to $250 per night between January 4 and July 25, 2026, on a 4-night or longer Disney Resort hotel stay when also purchasing a 4-day or longer theme park ticket. Oh and that’s in addition to others like a free Dining Plan for kids aged 3 to 9 in 2026, which can be combined with the $250 per night offer.

Why Did Disneyland and Walt Disney World Increase Ticket Prices?

As with any price hike, questions will arise as to why they are happening. According to Disney, the value of a Disney vacation offers so much for the price, and the offerings are only going to increase going forward.

“Disney Parks offer a full day of experiences each day, with ticket, hotel, and dining options designed to suit a wide range of needs and budgets for all who visit. Our commitment to creating magical experiences for everyone remains at the heart of what we do — and that will never change,” a Disney spokesperson told IGN.

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World have a lot in the works right now, including Disneyland’s Coco and Avengers attractions and its new Avatar land. At Disney World, the team is working on the Tropical Americas area in Animal Kingdom (Encanto and Indiana Jones), the Cars-themed land called Piston Peak, and the yet-unnamed Villains land.

There’s also Animal Kingdom’s Zootopia: Better Zoogether show, the reimagining of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and even a new Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney being added to Magic Kingdom’s Carousel of Progress.

Doyle also gives further perspective on these rising costs.

“These increases are within the context of a broader trend across entertainment of increasing ticket prices to keep up with demand and increasing costs that some have called ‘funflation,’ Doyle said. “Pollstar reports that the average ticket price for the top 100 touring musical acts rose from $71.44 in 2014 to $135.92 in 2024, a 90.26% increase.”

Disney also notes that wages for many of its cast members have “increased more than 100%.”
