Netflix made a number of One Piece announcements today, expanding the One Piece universe with a surprise animated special.
Lego One Piece hits Netflix on September 29, 2026 as a two-part special. A Netflix first, this animated special produced in partnership with the LEGO Group, Shueisha, and Atomic, “retells the epic events of the first two seasons of the live action One Piece, in a way only the LEGO Group can — jam-packed with comedy, high-stakes thrills, and brick-built action that is the perfect entryway for new recruits and an exciting new perspective for veteran pirates.”

Meanwhile, Season 3 of the live-action series has an official title: One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta. It’s due out on Netflix in 2027.

The horizon is looking even brighter as we officially confirm that Season 3 of the live-action series, created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios, will debut in 2027. In this upcoming season, war is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi’s homeland. And finally, we have a first look at The One Piece, a new anime saga from WIT Studio. Here’s the official blurb:

You can see why Netflix is going all in on One Piece. Since its debut, the live-action adaptation has amassed nearly 100 million views, and, according to Netflix, has “a vast, multigenerational fan base.”
