Nintendo Music Web Player Launches With 4 Hours of Mario Kart World Tunes

Nintendo Music has added its most-requested soundtrack to date — the toe-tapping tunes of Switch 2 exclusive Mario Kart World — and launched a new web player.

The soundtrack streaming service can now be played from a browser on your PC, tablet or car screen, as well as via its previous dedicated smartphone app. (And yes, I’m listening to it right now as I type this.) Just head to music.nintendo.com to get started.

As ever, Nintendo Music is a perk of being a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber. More than 130 games now have their soundtracks preserved for you to dip into, from Pikmin to WarioWare, Luigi’s Mansion to Super Mario Galaxy.

Fans had long been calling for Mario Kart World’s enormous soundtrack to be added, and today that has now happened. 130 tracks encompassing 4 hours and 13 minutes of tunes are currently available from the racer, with more to come as its many Free Roam tunes are added in future updates.

Mario Kart World launched alongside the Switch 2 last year, and fans are eagerly awaiting news of more content for the game, which Nintendo has positioned as an evergreen title it hopes will continue selling throughout the console’s life. Apart from a few tweaks and fixes, however, no major additions have arrived to date.

Could all that change soon? Nintendo has already laid out some of its summer launches, though fans are eagerly awaiting word on what’s to come for Switch 2 later this year. And as we approach a busy week of video game announcements, Mario watchers hope for news on a fresh Nintendo Direct sometime soon.
