Sega and Creative Assembly have finally officially revealed Alien: Isolation 2 with a new trailer at Summer Game Fest 2026.
While the trailer stops short of announcing a release date or even a release window, Alien: Isolation 2 has now been confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, and can now be wishlisted from their respective stores. Alien: Isolation 2 will also be coming to Nintendo Switch 2, and will be available to wishlist from the eShop soon.
Players will explore the Weyland-Yutani outpost Kurosaki Station as part of Alien: Isolation 2’s campaign. The story will be told from the perspective of a brand new protagonist, and once again pit you against the deadly xenomorph in a terrifying game of cat-and-mouse. New tools, techniques, and tactics to help you outmaneuver and overcome the perfect organism are promised.
“It has been over a decade since we created the original Alien: Isolation and I am so excited to show everyone the first glimpse of the sequel,” said creative director Al Hope in a statement. “Our dedicated Survival team at Creative Assembly has been working hard to create a new, evolved Isolation experience continuing the legacy of the Alien franchise, making the eponymous killer smarter, the environment harsher and the chance of survival slimmer.”
Creative Assembly confirmed that a sequel to Alien: Isolation was in the works back in 2024, a decade after the original was released. Earlier this year it teased outdoor environments, a major change from the claustrophobic corridors of the first game. As this new trailer shows, Alien: Isolation 2 will shift between interior and exterior locations, allowing us to explore the surface of the colony world beyond the walls of Kurosaki Station.
