Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered Leak Revealed

A new leak has revealed that Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is in development with plans to launch with new features this November.

Details on the surprise fall remaster came from reliable leaker billbil-kun at Dealabs. The site reported that fans of the 2002 classic can expect to tear through cities as Godzilla, Destroyah, Anguirus, Mechagodzilla, and more when its release date for PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S arrives November 3, 2026.

If accurate, it’s a launch plan that would put developer Pipeworks and publisher Atari’s Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered in Grand Theft Auto 6‘s mid-November blast zone. Thankfully, it sounds like the refresh will include more than a few new features to capture players’ interest.

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee originally launched in 2002 for the GameCube before later coming to the original Xbox and Game Boy Advance. Launching the remaster 24 years later means refreshing everything from top to bottom, as Dealabs’ report stated that modernized gameplay will come hand-in-hand with visuals that have been remastered from the ground up.

Players can also expect Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered to include online multiplayer support in addition to its local co-op mode and a revised unlocking system for players to unlock monsters and locations in any order. Maybe the most interesting new component leaked, though, is what are said to be additional single-player campaigns for each kaiju.

Dealabs also stated that the Atari remaster will feature 12 playable kaiju. The GameCube release had only 11 playable monsters, with its Xbox version adding Mechagodzilla 3 as an additional playable character one year later. It’s hard to say without official confirmation, but so far, it does sound like the remaster will make that formerly platform-exclusive content available for all.

Dealabs said that it’s unclear when Pipeworks and Atari plan to announce Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered. It’s expected to be $30 on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S and $40 on Switch 2. Nintendo and PlayStation versions will reportedly see a physical release, and its price on PC was not shared.

While we wait for an official announcement, you can read IGN’s 8.5/10 review of the original game. You can also check out our list of every Godzilla game ever.
