In a video, Apple says that for the rebrand, the company “wanted sound to create the visuals,” showing the music note logo and the wordmark underwater and how that water responded to sound. It’s a pretty cool video, honestly, and I like seeing how the water morphs the logo and wordmark. The video is also one of the most Apple things I’ve ever seen, but I still think it’s cool.
The new look is expected to roll out across platforms “this week,” according to Wallpaper. I’m guessing that means it will show up in the final iOS 27.2 release, following the release candidate version of the update that launched this week.
