Deadpool & Wolverine comes to Disney+ on November 12, Marvel has announced.
After hitting theatres on July 26 and launching on DVD and Blu-ray last week, Marvel revealed the November 12 release date as Deadpool & Wolverine’s streaming debut.
The Disney+ version of the film comes with a bonus feature usually reserved for physical releases, as director Shawn Levy and star Ryan Reynolds have provided a filmmaker commentary for fans to listen to alongside the main Deadpool & Wolverine.
Celebrating the announcement in a typically weird way, Marvel is revamping the bathrooms of a handful of sports arenas around the U.S. Urinals, bathroom mirrors, and hand towel dispensers will be covered with Deadpool & Wolverine branding in a promotional move for the Disney+ date.
Fans can enjoy the upgrades at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia for the Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers game taking place today, October 30. The FedEX Forum in Memphis will receive the same treatment for the Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies game, alongside the Nationwide Arena in Columbus for the New York Islanders and Columbus Blue Jackets game.
Those attending Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center for the St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers game tomorrow can also sample the Deadpool & Wolverine themed bathrooms.
Deadpool & Wolverine was a much needed smash hit for Marvel. Its wealth of references and cameos from comic book movie history pulled in characters from well beyond the worlds of its two titular heroes, and it crossed $1 billion at the global box office in just its third weekend available.
In IGN’s 7/10 review, we said: “Deadpool & Wolverine is a hilarious superhero buddy comedy full of surprising, self-referential MCU humor and unsurprising plot and pacing problems.”
