With the release of a new behind the scenes video today for “Superman Day,” Warner Bros. and DC Studios have provided fans with a bunch of fresh new imagery from James Gunn’s upcoming movie. That includes new looks not just of David Corenswet’s Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor, but also various other heroes and villains from this summer’s impending blockbuster.

You can watch the video at the top of the page here, but also check out the slideshow of images below for some highlights, including Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr. (last seen in animated form in Creature Commandos), and much more:

Superman: Behind the Scenes Cast and Character Images

There’s also plenty of footage of Gunn directing the film, including the scene from the trailers where Superman is, shall we say, down on his luck and face-down in the snow near the Fortress of Solitude. We get a good look at the Daily Planet crew (Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant), lots of cool Superman poses, and Gunn high-fiving one of Superman’s robot pals.

Superman will be released on July 11, 2025, and is the first live-action movie in Gunn’s new DC Universe. For a rundown on all the upcoming DC movies and shows in the works, follow the link. And vote in our poll below to let us know what you think of the Superman roster so far…
