Brand New Day Fans Can See the Movie Early Thanks to Amazon

Brand New Day Fans Can See the Movie Early Thanks to Amazon

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will have early screenings ahead of its official release on July 31. Amazon has announced that Amazon Prime members in the U.S. will be able to see the highly-anticipated return of the webhead on July 29, two days ahead of the film’s official release.

Fans will be able to get their tickets soon (exact timing is TBA) by going to Amazon.com/BrandNewDay and then once their Prime membership is verified, they’ll be able to purchase tickets through Fandango. However, this is the only way you’ll be able to do this. Other ticketing apps or just going through Fandango itself as normal won’t work, since this is an Amazon-specific partnership.

This isn’t the first time Amazon has done something like this, but this is probably the biggest movie it has done early screenings for. Last year, Amazon Prime members were able to see Superman a few days early, which gave the movie some postitive buzz ahead of its official release. Spider-Man, however, is set to be one of the biggest films of the year. The previous live-action film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, made $1.9 billion at the global box office and the character has been absent from the big screen for five years, creating a bit of scarcity around Peter Parker. The Brand New Day trailer also smashed all kinds of records, demonstrating the hype for the film.

Needless to say, these early access tickets are going to be highly sought after. However, even if you miss out on the opportunity, it seems likely that tickets for the film’s regular opening weekend screenings will be going up around the same time. It’s also expected that a new trailer will likely concide with ticket pre-sales going live.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day takes place four years after the events of No Way Home, seeing Peter Parker fully embrace his responsibilities as Spider-Man after wiping the memories of everyone he knows and loves. However, his life gets radically turned upside down after he undergoes a physical transformation and is thrust into chaotic circumstances revolving around the Hulk, the Punisher, and various baddies.

Tom Holland was very careful about moving forward on a fourth Spider-Man film after the heights of No Way Home. The actor was heavily involved in developing the movie and even asked Sony to delay the film so he could make The Odyssey, which also gave the creative team behind Brand New Day the opportunity to polish the script and properly prepare the film. Holland also addressed an old quote where he said if he was still playing Spider-Man when he’s 30, he was doing something wrong. The actor noted that he wants to pass the torch to another actor in the future, possibly to play another character like Miles Morales.
