The Walt Disney Company has announced that Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney will take place at Walt Disney World Resort from August 29 through 31, 2025, and will once again provide a sneak peek at the future of Disney.
Destination D23 will take place at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando and will be double the size of previous events, Disney revealed. Anaheim’s D23 is usually the bigger of these two events that switch each year, but there is still plenty to look forward to at Destination D23.
According to Disney, this weekend will be filled with “exclusive presentations from the Walt Disney Archives and Walt Disney Studios, as well as spectacular entertainment and peeks into all the worlds of Disney, along with a variety of unique interactive activations and shopping experiences.”
Destination D23 last took place at Walt Disney World in 2023 and we got a big Disney Parks panel that revealed the new land with Encanto and Indiana Jones, the Moana-inspired Journey of Water, and much more. D23 this year was a BIG one, so fans should expect some updates on some of the big news from the many panels that took place, including the Disney Entertainment Showcase and Disney Experiences Showcase.
If you are looking forward to attending Destination D23, more details, including info on tickets, will be announced in Spring 2025.
Disney also announced three new D23 Gold Membership plans that will begin on January 1, 2025, and they give fans more choice on how they want to celebrate their love of Disney. These memberships include a ton of goodies, including “a Savings Passport (providing discounts with Disney and Friends of Disney), collectible Stitch pin, Goofy and Max car magnet, a special D23 Disney Lorcana trading card featuring Iago from the Disney classic Aladdin, and more.”
The Gold Member Essential plan is $49.99/year and gets you all of the above, while the Gold Member Choice Plan will cost $99 and give you one of four items – a D23 Spirit Jersey, a fan pack with usable items, a pin box with 10 character pins, or a replica of the Disneyland Park Entrance plaque. If you want all of these items, you can subscribe to the Gold Complete Plan for $299.99/year.
