The Devil May Cry anime is officially getting a second season at Netflix.

Netflix announced the news on X/Twitter with an image and the words: “Let’s dance. Devil May Cry is officially coming back for Season 2.”

While we didn’t learn anything about the next season, Netflix subscribers are able to see why it earned new episodes as the whole first season is now available.

In our Devil May Cry Season 1 review, we said: “Devil May Cry is not without flaws, including horrendous use of CG, bad jokes, and predictable characters. And yet, Adi Shankar and Studio Mir craft a fun video-game adaptation that doubles as a deranged, bonkers, and bold homage to and indictment of ’00s Americana.

“If nothing else, it contains some of the best animation you’re likely to see this year, and its epic finale makes for a very effective tease for an even wilder second season.”

Season 2 of Devil May Cry shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as series creator Adi Shankar previously said he was planning a “multi-season arc.”

For more, check out our chat with Shankar from IGN Fan Fest 2025 about how the anime aims to bring the best of the series to Netflix.
