Dexter fans, beware: there are spoilers afoot — and it seems as though Paramount is not going to take any action to release the Dexter: Resurrection finale early to keep fans from being spoiled. How did the spoilers even get out into the world, you ask? Well, it looks like there’s now a leaked Russian dub version of the finale episode circulating online.
Social media is, of course, a hotbed for spoilers, so any Dexter fans who want to preserve their experience for episode 10 of the show should probably stay away from places like Reddit and Twitter/X, where clips, screenshots, and plot details have been floating around prominently. You can also use the “mute” function to keep certain key words off your feed on Twitter/X, so that might come in handy until episode 10 airs next week.
The ninth episode of the show just debuted — and of course it features one of the most shocking moments of the series thus far, so naturally fans have been dying to keep their viewing experiences pure without any spoilers for the finale.
The leaked dub is in Russian, so as far as dialogue is concerned, English speakers are safe. But that said, if you’ve been watching the series and are a general Dexter fan, you could definitely still be spoiled just by watching the visuals in the clips.
Fans have been up in arms about the leaks online, begging to keep spoilers to a minimum — but it doesn’t seem like Paramount will release the finale early to quell the outrage.
To those of you sharing the #DexterResurrection Leaks:
PLEASE STOP!!!
One would think people would have enough love for the show to only share what @paramountplus puts out!! We don’t need to kill the ratings ESPECIALLY after original sin just got cancelled!!!! pic.twitter.com/M2x0ZkaPzo— Dexter Morgan (@Dexter__39476) August 29, 2025
Additionally, Dexter: Original Sin — the prequel series that follows Dexter’s life 15 years before the events of the original show — has been cancelled despite its original renewal for a second season, so fans are particularly worried about this leak tanking the ratings for Resurrection and damning the show to the same fate as Original Sin.
Dexter: Resurrection is a sequel series to Dexter: New Blood, which was a continuation of the original 2006 show that became a premium cable classic. Resurrection focuses on Dexter as he searches for his son Harrison in NYC, where there is a bigger network of killers than you could imagine — and law enforcement is on his trail.
Michael C. Hall reprises his titular role in the series, which is now available to stream on Paramount Plus. Well, at least the first nine episodes. The finale, unleaked and in English, airs on September 5.
