IGN can reveal the first English dub trailer for the highly anticipated Dragon Ball: Daima series.
The near two-minute trailer, below, opens with shots of the Dragon Ball universe before commemorating late author Akira Toriyama, who’s cited as creator, writer, and character designer of Dragon Ball: Daima.
The series is seemingly Toriyama’s version of Dragon Ball GT, where protagonist Goku travels the world in search of the seven dragon balls. Unlike the most famous visuals of Dragon Ball Z, each character in Daima in Dragon Ball: Daima appears in a more cartoonish, chibi art style akin to the original Dragon Ball manga.
The trailer shows off plenty of these designs, with characters including Goku, Krillin, Bulma, Piccolo,
and many more.
The release date was also narrowed in the trailer somewhat, seemingly confirming the English version won’t launch in October alongside the Japanese. Fans can watch the “world English dub premiere” of the first three episodes in cinemas from November 10 to 12, meaning the regular release won’t come until
after that.
Fans haven’t had to wait too long for Dragon Ball: Daima to release, of course, as it was only announced in October 2023.
