Major story spoilers for the upcoming James Bond game 007: First Light are reportedly circulating online, following a leak that originated from the Indonesian ratings board.
Over an hour of footage — privately submitted to the ratings board by developer IO Interactive — has now been found via the Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) website and shared further, VGC reports, including clips which detail the game’s ending.
Much of 007: First Light’s plot has been kept under wraps until now, with IO Interactive keen to keep its surprises intact until the game’s release — which is still six weeks away, on May 27. Contacted by IGN today, IO Interactive declined to comment further on the matter.
007: First Light is the long-awaited next game from IO, the developer of Hitman, with a starry cast and big ambitions to kickstart a new blockbuster James Bond video game trilogy. Featuring a brand-new origin story for the MI6 agent, First Light will introduce a fresh-faced incarnation of Bond played by Dexter: Original Sin star Patrick Gibson, alongside a cast of secret agent besties and villains played by The Eternals’ Gemma Chan, The Walking Dead’s Lennie James, and The Hunger Games’ Lenny Kravitz.
Last week, IO Interactive confirmed it had delayed the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 version, which is now set to arrive “later this summer.” Previously, the game had been due to launch in March, before an earlier delay late last year.
Other leaked information from the Indonesian Game Rating System reportedly includes spoilers for Bandai Namco role-player Echoes of Aincrad, and mention of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, which Ubisoft has confirmed though not formally revealed. In details still visible online, the game is currently listed with a 2026 launch date for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
