First Look at the Doctor Strange-Inspired Sanctum Lounge Aboard the Disney Destiny

IGN was invited to the Float Out of the Disney Destiny at the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, and we were given a first look at the Doctor Strange-inspired Sanctum lounge aboard the ship.

The Sanctum lounge will be one of the many bars and lounges guests can visit aboard the Disney Destiny following its Maiden Voyage on November 20, 2025, and it will sit on Deck 3. It will be exactly where the Jungle Cruise-inspired Skipper Society lounge is on the Disney Treasure and where The Princess and the Frog-inspired The Bayou lounge is on the Disney Wish.

This lounge will not only offer wonderful nods to Doctor Strange and the MCU like the Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj, but the center of The Sanctum will be the feature the iconic window with the Seal of the Vishanti symbol that can be seen on Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum in New York City.

We were able to see The Sanctum a few days ago ahead of the Disney Destiny’s Float Out, which is when the ship officially leaves its dry dock before heading overseas to its home port of Port Canaveral in Ft. Lauderdale. The space looks really great, even though there is still work left to be done. The window is a striking centerpiece and this will surely be an incredible place to hang out, especially considering it is just steps away from the Haunted Mansion Parlor, which we said was was the perfect extension of the Disney Parks attraction when we experienced it aboard the Disney Treasure.

While we didn’t get to try any, The Sanctum will also have a ton of very inspired and “magical” drinks available for guests. including the Vapors of Valtorr, with its many bubbles that climb almost as tall as the drink itself, and the Circle of Cosmos, which is served in a glass that appears to be upside down!

The Sanctum is just one of the many places guests will be able to enjoy aboard the Disney Destiny alongside Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, Worlds of Marvel, The Incredibles-themed Edna A La Mode Sweets, a Broadway-style Hercules show, De Vil’s Piano Bar, The Haunted Mansion Parlor, the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed Cask & Cannon, and so much more.

The Sanctum on the Disney Destiny

Stay tuned for much more from our visit to Papenburg to see the Float Out of Disney Destiny, but for now, read all about the Steel Cutting Ceremony for Disney Cruise Line’s fourth Wish-class ship that will set sail in 2027.
