Google Pixel 10 Series to Reportedly Offer Gimbal-Like Video Stabilisation

Pixel 10 series is rumoured to be unveiled on August 20. As the possible launch date nears, we are seeing new leaks about their specifications. The base Pixel 10 is believed to come with a revamped camera unit, including a telephoto lens for the first time. Meanwhile, a fresh leak suggests that the Pixel 10 family will get a significant upgrade when comes to image stabilisation. The Pixel 10 series is said to offer video stabilisation comparable to that of a gimbal.

Pixel 10 Series To Get Upgraded Image Stabilisation

As per a report by Android Headlines, the upcoming Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will offer “heavily upgraded image stabilisation”. Google’s Pixel phones already have pretty good image stabilisation, but the new lineup is said to get gimbal-level stabilisation. As per the report, the performance improvement would be similar to using a Pixel 10 with a DJI Osmo Mobile 6. This will reduce the effects of camera shake and vibration while shooting videos.

In April, rumours about the Pixel 10 cameras had suggested several improvements. The standard Pixel 10 is expected to ship with a new rear camera unit including the usual primary camera (wide) and the ultrawide camera, alongside a new telephoto camera.

The addition of a dedicated telephoto camera will bring the Pixel 10 in line with the Pro models. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are expected to have a similar camera unit to the Pixel 9 Pro series.

Google is rumoured to announce the Pixel 10 series at a Made by Google event on August 20. They are likely to be available for pre-order on the same date with sales said to begin on August 28. The upcoming phones are believed to run on a new Tensor G5 chipset.
