IGN is partnering with Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions on Beyond the Strand, a 10-year anniversary stream that promises to “offer a glimpse into future projects” in development at the studio behind the first two Death Stranding titles.

IGN will serve as the official livestream partner for Beyond the Strand, which will take place at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, Japan, on September 23, 2025, at 1:00pm JST. That translates to September 22 at 9:00pm PT and September 23 at 12:00am ET and 5:00am BST.

To watch Beyond the Strand, you can catch the English-language livestream on IGN.com and on IGN’s YouTube Channel. For the Japanese-language stream, you can click here.

Kojima himself will be hosting the event, and fans will be waiting to see if we’ll get updates on his horror project with Microsoft called OD or the action espionage game for PlayStation called Physint.

OD had its big on-stage reveal at The Game Awards 2023, where it was confirmed Kojima would be collaborating with Jordan Peele on the game. The footage also featured It’s Sophia Lillis, Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer, and Hunters’ Udo Kier.

Physint was a big surprise when it was revealed at a State of Play in 2024 as it marks the Metal Gear Solid creator’s return to the action espionage genre. It has been described as a both a movie and a game, but it appears we will have to wait a bit longer to play this one, as Kojima said in August that it was still in the “conceptual stage.”

What are you looking forward to from the Beyond the Strand stream? OD? Physint? Something entirely new? Let us know below! Until then, check out our review of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, 45 amazing details from the sequel, and how much of Kojima’s games are actually cutscenes.
