InPost Group has launched a new, UK-based end-to-end delivery service for unlabelled parcels.

The provider of logistics solutions for the European e-commerce market said that ‘Send’ allows users to send an unlabelled parcel directly from Its app.

To send a parcel, users can create a digital label with a QR code on the InPost platform, choose the parcel size, and fill out address details.

The new delivery service rivals traditional postal services, like that of the Post Office, for sending unlabelled parcels, offering customers and recipients a real-time tracking service.

Customers will be able to send parcels from one InPost Locker to another, from an Out-of-Home (OOH) point such as a PickUp and Drop Off (PUDO), or directly to their chosen home address.

The company, which has currently 9,200 lockers throughout the UK, added that parcels up to 15 kg can be sent according to small, medium or large size, as it aims to simplify the pricing process.

“Send comes at a critical time for the industry as traditional postal services face repeated criticism for poor service and delivery performance, resulting in increasing demands for modernisation and efficiency,” the company said in a statement.

The launch follows InPost’s announcement for plans to invest £600 million in its UK operations by 2029.

The company recently announced that it had reached record-high volumes in 2024, delivering one billion parcels throughout the year.

In the UK, InPost delivered 93.2 million parcels last year, doubling 2023 volumes.

As part of its growth, in 2024 InPost expanded its locker solutions to OOH) and direct-to-door options in the region.

In October 2024, the company also completed the acquisition of UK business advisory firm Menzies.

The company said at the time that the move would enable it to take advantage of Menzies’ logistics expertise and strengthen control over the entire logistics process, covering the first mile, middle mile and last mile, as well as anconnecting to its network of OOH points across the UK.

Neil Kuschel, chief executive officer of InPost UK commented on the introduction of the new service in the UK : “We are proud to introduce this new service that directly meets those needs and drives increased competition in the industry.”

The InPost network has currently over 43,000 modern alternative payment methods (APMs), which include any way to pay for goods and services that doesn’t involve cash or a card that belongs to a major card scheme.

It also has over 35,000 PUDO points across nine countries: the UK, France, Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
