Live-Action Street Fighter Movie: Roman Reigns, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, and Andrew Koji in Talks to Join Cast

Legendary Pictures’ live-action Street Fighter movie is reportedly considering four big names as it kicks off the search for its cast.

Actors Andrew Koji (Bullet Train), Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, A Minecraft Movie), Noah Centineo (Black Adam, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before), and WWE star Roman Reigns are all in talks to star in the fighting game’s film adaptation, according to Deadline. Although it’s far from a confirmation that any one from the group will end up attached to the Street Fighter movie, if accurate, it’s at least a sign that things are continuing to move in the right direction.

Should Koji, Momoa, Centineo, and Reigns land their parts, there’s no word yet on which members of Street Fighter’s iconic roster they would portray. Plot details also remain a mystery as Legendary pushes forward with its goal to deliver a release date in spring of next year.

The Best Video Game Movies of All Time

Legendary announced its plan to develop a new Street Fighter movie in 2023, confirming it had acquired the rights to Capcom’s classic fighting game series in the hope of bringing it to the big screen. YouTube stars and Talk to Me-directing duo Danny and Michael Philippou were then picked to serve as directors on the video game movie adaptation just shortly after.

It was a fiery start to Legendary’s process that was extinguished one year later when THR reported that the Philippous had exited the Street Fighter film. The project went without someone in the director’s chair until February 2025, when THR shared that The Eric Andre Show’s Kitao Sakurai had been picked up for the spot. Legendary still seems to be holding on to its previously announced March 20, 2026 release date as it works to lock down its cast and other key components.
