Lords of the Fallen 2 Gets Official Reveal Trailer, Still on Track for 2026

CI Games has detailed what to expect from Lords of the Fallen 2 during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, and said its 2026 sequel has been shaped by community feedback after an initially rocky reception at launch for the original.

Designed as a fully standalone sequel from 2023’s Lords of the Fallen, this Unreal Engine 5-powered follow-up offers two parallel worlds to explore, including an expanded Umbral realm, and shared campaign progression in online co-op.

We first heard of Lords of the Fallen and its 2026 release window last year. The reveal came just months after CI Games let go of 10% of staff across the company in January 2024, before cutting 30 more staff that May.

Today’s trailer arrives just hours after PC Gamer reported that the creative director, art director, and executive producer of Lords of the Fallen had all left CI Games this year.

“After selling over 2 million units and welcoming over 5.5 million Lampbearers into Lords of the Fallen, it’s clear our comeback was community-powered,” said CI Games boss Marek Tyminski. “With Lords of the Fallen 2, we’re going further. In 2024 we proudly announced our deep commitment to be a player-first studio. The V2.0 update was our promise in action: listen, respond, and deliver. This sequel is built on that same foundation.”

Other details confirmed today include optional PvP and custom game modifiers.
