All Eggs & Their Locations In Monster Hunter Stories
Monster Hunter Stories is the first in the Monster Hunter series that follows a Monster Rider, someone who works together and lives in harmony with monsters rather than hunting them. The game has been remastered for modern consoles, allowing more players to see this side of the game franchise.
While playing the game, players will need to help their Monsties grow and forge relationships with them. One way that players can do this is by finding eggs around the game and hatching them into Monsties. Here’s a complete guide to eggs in the game.

What Are Eggs In Monster Hunter Stories?
Monster Eggs come from Monster Dens around the game. These are randomly spawned and generated locations in the game. However, there are a few fixed Monster Dens around the game that will guarantee a specific Monstie. In order to find these, players will need to progress the story and use a Paintball on a Monster in battle so they can follow it. Other than that, these are randomly spawned around the game. There are three types of Monster Dens:
- Normal – The eggs from here are usually average.
- Gold – The eggs from here are usually rare.
- Red – The eggs from here are usually the rarest.

Monster Hunter Stories Review
Capcom’s spin-off of the Monster Hunter series makes for a surprisingly enjoyable turn-based RPG on Nintendo 3DS, merging addictive mechanics with cutesy graphics.
Additionally, these items will have various smells and weights. Eggs that don’t have a scent will have the worst genes, while those that are smelly will have better genes. Finally, the eggs that are nice-smelling will have the best genes. In the same vein, eggs that are lighter won’t have as many gene slots, and those that are heavy will have the most gene slots.
Once an egg is found, Narvirou will make a comment about the egg. Depending on his comment, players will be able to tell the rarity of the egg that they have found. If he thinks it is normal, it is an average egg. If he mentions that he feels pretty good about it, then this is the rarest kind. He can also make a comment about the egg feeling dangerous; if this is the case, there is a tough Monster guarding it.
