Netflix Capcom’s Devil May Cry animated series delivered its first teaser trailer – and an April 2025 release window – during Netflix Geeked Week 2024 Live. The sneak peek was all about introducing demon hunter Dante and showing off his sword skills and gunplay, along with a very sinister looking white rabbit.

Dante devotees haven’t had a chance to swoon over Dante’s dashing looks since Devil May Cry 5 back in 2019 – apart from a Chinese mobile spin off Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat, where our boy was not looking his best.

The beloved Capcom character is in experienced hands with Adi Shankar overseeing the adaptation. He’s already taken Castlevania from consoles to streaming and built a series around the Far Cry 3 DLC Blood Dragon with Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. He’s attached to upcoming Assassin’s Creed, PUBG and Hyper Light Drifter projects and a remake of the Korean thriller I Saw the Devil.

Best Anime Series on Netflix

Netflix has found success with adaptations of classic video games over the last few years, especially with animated series. Dragon’s Quest, Dragon’s Dogma, Dota and even Angry Birds have all had their spot on the streaming service. If you’ve already binged your way through the best of them, more are on their way with Beyond Good & Evil, The Cuphead Show! and an anime take on Tomb Raider all in development.
