Nextdoor launches AI-driven self-serve ads platform for small businesses

Neighbourhood network app Nextdoor has announced the launch of a new AI-driven self-serve ads platform for small and local businesses.

The new platform provides quick ad tools as well as an AI-driven assistant to improve copy and creative design.

For more advanced users, the technology offers advanced targeting options; a report builder which enables advertisers to custom-build and schedule reports for all campaigns; and performance tracking for purchases, leads and signups.

Agencies can also create new advertiser profiles to manage and invite users.

The move comes as self-serve ads already contribute to 25 per cent of the company’s UK revenue.

Nextdoor, which provides a neighbourhood network for over 100 million neighbours, is currently used by one in four UK households and one in three Londoners.

The app includes local news, real-time safety alerts, neighbour recommendations, for sale and free listings, and events.

“Nextdoor thrives on community trust and our new Ads Manager builds on this foundation by equipping businesses with tools to authentically connect with their local customer base,” said Gareth Walton, Head of EMEA Sales. “With 94 per cent of our neighbours making the household decisions, businesses of all sizes can access a highly engaged and high-intent audience ready to act.

“This means more effective ads and maximised return on investment.”
