Palia has won the hearts of many MMO gamers for its charm and pleasing aesthetics. Similar to popular simulation games like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Disney Dreamlight Valley, players in Palia complete tasks for villagers by gardening, crafting furniture, cooking, and fishing. Fishing provides players with a calming activity and is one of the easiest ways to make money, but it’s also a good way to find gifts that certain villagers are looking for.
There are up to 80 different fish that players can catch in Palia, including the highly sought-after fish called the Eyeless Minnow. Although some fish require specific rods, bait, locations, and times of the day, the Eyeless Minnow is relatively easy to catch. With the right information, you can find and catch your own Eyeless Minnow and discover what you can do with them.

Where To Find The Eyeless Minnow
The Eyeless Minnow is a species that is native to Bahari Bay. From Kilima Village, take your character to the eastern border of the map between Maji’s Hollow and the Whispering Banks. The exact location can be found in the image above.
Once in Bahari Bay, look for Pavel Mines on your map. The mines contain caves where your player can find minerals, treasure chests, and a pond for fishing in. You can find the mines in the space beneath and between the Flooded Fortress and the Ancient Aquaduct. Hug the wall to your left upon entering Bahari Bay to find Hodari and Najuma’s house. Pavel Mines will be directly northwest from there. There are several ways to enter the mines, but this is the quickest and easiest way to get to the fishing pond.
After entering the mines, follow the path to the first opening. Take the first right turn you can make and follow the staircase down to the floor. Then make a left to find the stream of flowing water and a pond for finding rare and uncommon fish. You can find Eyeless Minnows here. You may want to either clear your inventory before fishing or upgrade your backpack for more inventory slots.
How To Catch The Eyeless Minnow
The Eyeless Minnow is a common fish that all players can catch, no matter what rod they use. Although upgrading your tools can help you find different materials, there is no need to upgrade your fishing rod or use any specific bait for this fish. The Eyeless Minnow can be caught in the Pavel Mines regardless of the time of day, making it even easier to find. Even if there are no ripples or jumping fish in the pond, you can still cast your line into the water to catch an Eyeless Minnow.
If not on the first try, you should be able to catch an Eyeless Minnow after a few attempts. Remember to wait until the fourth tug on the line to begin reeling in the fish. Once the fish is hooked, be careful not to let the fish veer far from your lure. After successfully reeling it in, your character will hold up the fish and stuff it in their inventory.
What To Do With An Eyeless Minnow
Once you find your prized possession, you can choose to sell the Eyeless Minnow for 20 gold each, or 30 gold if it is star quality. It may not seem like much, but if you can rack up a good stock of Eyeless Minnows, they will surely add up.
There are also several other uses for Eyeless Minnows. You can use them to cook recipes like fish stew or grilled fish. Consume these dishes to raise your focus. It may also be a good idea to keep a few Eyeless Minnows in your inventory because they are often requested by villagers like Einar. Einar can often be found at Fisherman’s Lagoon. Gifting villagers the fish that they ask for can help raise friendship levels.
You can even keep Eyeless Minnows for display in your home. If they are in your inventory, you can place them as you would any other item. They look nice sitting on tabletops or counters if you have room to spare.
