Realme GT 8 Pro Tipped to Sport an Anti-Glare Screen With 2K Resolution

Realme GT 7 Pro was launched in China in November last year. The Chinese tech brand is expected to launch the Realme GT 8 Pro around the same time this year. Although Realme has remained tight-lipped about the upcoming handset, a tipster has suggested its display details. The Realme GT 8 Pro is tipped to feature a high-end anti-glare screen. It is also rumoured to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. The handset could pack a 200-megapixel rear camera sensor.

Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggested the key specifications of a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered phone. While the tipster doesn’t explicitly name the phone, the comments strongly suggest that the tipster was talking about the Realme GT 8 Pro. As per the tipster, the phone will be equipped with a 6.85-inch LTPO 2K customised display sourced from Samsung. It is tipped to be an ‘AR’ anti-glare display with narrow edges. This would increase light transmittance and reduce light reflections in the phone. The display could support pol-less depolarisation technology.

According to the tipster, the new screen has significantly raised the bill of materials, making Realme GT 8 Pro the most expensive to produce among all new Android flagships expected in the coming months.

The latest claim indicates that Realme GT 8 Pro would follow Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra’s footsteps by offering an anti-glare display. This would be a notable improvement over last year’s Realme GT 7 Pro, which had a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz screen refresh rate.

Realme GT 8 Pro Specifications (Expected)

The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to launch in the China in the fourth quarter of this year, after Qualcomm announces the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. The phone is tipped to feature a metal frame and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It is said to come with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. The battery capacity of the phone is expected to be more than 7,000mAh with 100W charging support.
