The first look at Nicolas Cage as the live-action Spider-Noir was revealed by MGM+ and Prime Video at Amazon’s annual upfront presentation on Monday. The image of Cage in costume can be seen below.

Based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, the series due out in 2026 “tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero,” according to the official synopsis.

In addition to Nicolas Cage in the title role, the Sony Pictures Television-produced series stars Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston.

Guest stars on the show includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.

Harry Bradbeer directs and executive produces the first two episodes. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. The duo developed the series with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’s Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal.

Lord and Miller executive produce along with Aditya Sood and Dan Shear, while Pascal also serves as an executive producer.

The Sony Pictures Television-produced series will be available in both black and white and color. Spider-Noir will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear channel, then globally on Prime Video the next day.
