Nintendo has announced a Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which sees the oddball side-scrolling platformer gain additional levels, power-ups and a fresh location full of multiplayer mini-games.

Officially titled Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, the revamped version of the game will launch in spring 2026.

The latter half of that title, Meetup in Bellabel Park, looks set to offer a plaza full of multiplayer mini experiences that task players with coin collecting, playing ‘tag’, passing a Bob-omb between players, and much more. There are mini-games to play competitively against others, but also play collaboratively.

As for this Switch 2 version’s additions for the main Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Nintendo has promised that further details will arrive at a later date — though one quick clip shown today featured a new Bellabel Flower power-up. Mysterious.

Even stranger, Nintendo will launch a toy version of Wonder’s chatty flowers. The talking object will also launch in spring 2026, price unknown.
