Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City Announced for Meta Quest and Steam VR

Developer Cortopia Studios (Gorn 2) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City, a new VR game for Meta Quest and Steam VR. In it, you’ll be able to (virtually) wear the half-shell of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael as they battle their way through New York City against the Foot Clan. And yes, four-player multiplayer is supported.

“As much as the Turtles are about action, their story is even more about family,” said Beyond Frames Entertainment CEO and Empire City Creative Director Ace St. Germain. “Their strength comes from their bond, and this is something that resonates deeply with fans. [And narrative consultant] Tom Waltz is one of the best-loved minds in the TMNT creatorverse today, and his stories over the last decade have helped to shine a light on that bond. We couldn’t be more excited to have him involved in the project.”

In addition to each Turtle’s signature weapon, you’ll have quickslot items (like shurikens and smoke bombs), one-shot stealth takedowns, mid-air attacks and dashes, and blocking mechanics. Awesomely, each Turtle is different beyond just wielding a different weapon. For instance, Donatello has less health than Raphael but (presumably) has more attack range.

Furthermore, expect friends like April O’Neil and Master Splinter to appear, and the Turtles’ lair will be fully explorable – including each Turtle’s room. Wishlist Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City on the Meta Quest Store or Steam VR if you’re interested.
