Best-selling author and creator of the Robert Langdon book series Dan Brown is returning for another chapter with a new novel: The Secret of Secrets. It’s available to preorder now at Amazon.
The thriller literature mastermind has plotted a course to release this next project in 2025. No specific release date has been announced, but a few details from Brown’s website reveal what readers can expect to dive into. In addition to promising a continuation of Robert Langdon’s story, first details for The Secret of Secrets tease “a propulsive, twisty, thought-provoking masterpiece.”
A synopsis for the upcoming book release reveals some plot details, too, explaining the tale will follow the esteemed professor of symbology as he travels to Prague in hopes of attending a lecture by prominent noetic scientist Katherine Solomon. What follows is a globe-trotting journey that sees him discovering a secret project “that will forever change the way we think about the human mind.”

Langdon finds himself targeted by a powerful organization and hunted by a chilling assailant sprung from Prague’s most ancient mythology.”
Brown’s Robert Langdon series began in 2000 with Angels & Demons and has received relatively regular installments since. Readers have enjoyed following the action and mystery of the character across five entries so far, including The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno, and Origin. The fifth and most recent book in the collection arrived in 2017, making this year’s launch for The Secret of Secrets an especially exciting moment for bookworms everywhere.
Along with tremendous success in the literature world, Brown’s work has also found success in other mediums. Ron Howard notably directed and produced three adaptations from the Robert Langdon series – The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, and Inferno – in 2006, 2009, and 2016, respectively. The trilogy saw Tom Hanks starring in the lead role, and in 2021, Peacock turned The Lost Symbol into a 10-episode series, which has since been canceled.
Expect to follow a brand-new addition to Robert Langdon’s story when The Secret of Secrets drops September 9, 2025.
