Apple introduced a new feature called 'Screen Distance' that helps reduce eye strain and chances of nearsightedness.

To enable Screen Distance, open the 'Settings' app and tap on 'Screen Time'.

Now, find and tap on the 'Screen Distance' option and proceed to click on 'Continue'.

It will now show an explanation of how the feature works. Tap on 'Continue' once again and you are good to go.

If you hold your device closer than 12 inches for too long, you will see a full screen message that says 'iPhone May Be Too Close.'

Once the message appears, adjust the distance of the phone until you see a checkmark and tap on the 'Continue' button to resume what you were doing.

Apple says the feature does not collect images or videos of your face and that it only works on devices with Face ID.
