While we’ve know that X-Men ’97, the hit Disney+ Marvel animated series, would be getting at least two more seasons, the news out of New York Comic Con today is that Season 2 now has a release date: Summer 2026.
The team behind the show also promised that Season 2 will “tee up Season 3 in a massive way.”
X-Men ’97 proved to be an instant success for Marvel, bringing back the beloved animated adventures of Marvel’s merry mutants from the 1990s. In his 9/10 review of Season 1, IGN’s Jesse Schedeen said “X-Men ’97 isn’t just a fitting continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series, but one of the best adaptations ever of this iconic Marvel franchise.”
