What Is The Lord Of The Mountain In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild?

Lord of the Mountain in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild

The Lord of the Mountain is a blue spirit horse known as Satori that is located upon Satori Mountain. The horse only appears at specific times (which seem to be random), so the player will need to go when the horse is actually on the mountain if they want to tame it. It is the mount with the highest stamina in the game (it is unlimited), meaning that it is, by far, the fastest mount in the entire game. This makes catching it completely worth it, even if it is a little difficult to do so.

The Lord of the Mountain is a shy creature, so it will not appear if you are nearby at all.

How To Tame The Lord Of The Mountain In BOTW

Head to Satori Mountain while it is glowing green. Heading to the Central Tower, you will be able to see whether the area is lit up or not. At night, it will be much easier to see if it is glowing. Once there, you can tame Satori like you would any other horse (such as Ganon’s giant horse). The best way is to come prepared with the following items:

When you’re ready, sneak up behind Satori and mount it just like you would any other horse. You want to make sure you have enough stamina because if you are bucked off Satori, you will need to leave the area and come back in order to try again (however, after a few tries, it will disappear entirely).

Satori cannot be registered at a horse stable. Instead, you can only ride it around the map. It will stay after dismounting it, but only for a limited time. If you want to keep it with you, you need to make sure to remount it every once in a while.
