Von Lycaon is one of the best Sub-DPS units in Zenless Zone Zero. This member of the Victoria Housekeeping faction can quickly Stun enemies while dealing a decent amount of DMG. This can be helpful to many DPS units that either like to attack Dazed enemies or have their DMG buffed against them.

All that makes it easy to find a place for Lycaon in most of Zenless Zone Zero’s team compositions. However, no matter how many teams he can join, he can still be a very important character for certain characters that can only operate if the enemy is Dazed. Here are some examples of Lycaon best team comps in Zenless Zone Zero.

Recommended Bangboo

Why It’s Recommended

Sharkboo or Penguinboo

Help build up Ice Anomaly.

This Lycaon team composition in ZZZ is a mono-Ice team where everyone works together to help Ellen deal a massive burst of DMG. Starting from Lycaon, he’s great at stunning enemies with his charged Basic Attacks and EX Special Attacks. Once enemies are Stunned, switch to Soukaku where she will unleash her Fly the Flag to apply a buff to the next character, which is Ellen. All three characters synergize to activate their additional abilities. Soukaku buffs the team’s Ice DMG, and Ellen gets a massive Ice DMG for herself.

Team Roles

  • Lycaon: Stun, Sub-DPS
  • Soukaku: Support, buffer
  • Ellen: Main DPS

2 Lycaon + Rina + Grace

Recommended Bangboo

Why It’s Recommended

Sharkboo

Help build up Ice Anomaly.

Butler

Help build up Energy.

This team is a quick-swap team to abuse the Disorder occurrence. Basically, when you trigger an Anomaly and follow it up by triggering another Anomaly, a Disorder will occur and deal massive DMG under the right circumstances.

First, start with Lycaon to build up the Ice Anomaly meter on enemies while stunning them. Once the enemy is close to being frozen, switch to Rina and hit her Basic ATK once to activate her Core Skill’s buff. After that, immediately switch to Grace and start building up the Electric Anomaly. As an Anomaly unit in Zenless Zone Zero, Grace is quick with her Shock application, so she won’t take long here. Once Shock is triggered, now is the time to Freeze enemies with Lycaon to trigger Disorder. If you choose Sharkboo as the team’s Bangboo, it should greatly help Lycaon quickly trigger Freeze, and the faster he does, the higher the Disorder DMG will be.

With the enemy Stunned, Rina’s PEN buff, and all characters having their additional abilities active, every Disorder is going to hit harder than the previous one. However, keep in mind, that Shock should always go first before Freeze to make the most of the DMG.

Team Roles

  • Lycaon: Stun, Sub-DPS, Ice build-up
  • Rina: Support, buffer
  • Grace: Sub-DPS, Electric build-up

1 Lycaon + Piper + Corin

Recommended Bangboo

Why It’s Recommended

Bangvolver

Help build up Physical Anomaly.

As a 5-star unit in Zenless Zone Zero, Lycaon can definitely play well in F2P teams. For instance, players can test his synergy with Piper and Corin. Corin is an Attack-type character and can deal more DMG to Stunned enemies. Not only that, as a Physical DPS, one of her best equipment is the 4pc of Fanged Metal, which further increases her DMG against enemies affected by Assault. This creates her synergy with the team and maps the road of how everyone can play to make the most of Corin’s DMG.

As usual, start by stunning the enemies with Lycaon, then switch to Piper and spin around by holding down her EX Special Skill button. She will spin for a while and trigger Assault easily while building up to 70% of the next Assault Anomaly. Now that Piper has fulfilled her role, she leaves the field for Corin, who’s massively buffed and ready to go.

Team Roles

  • Lycaon: Stun, Sub-DPS
  • Piper: Sub-DPS, Physical build-up
  • Corin: Main-DPS
