Pinterest launches shoppable streaming series

Pinterest has launched a shoppable streaming series which will allow viewers to purchase items they see on screen through a QR code.

“Bring My Pinterest to Life” is a six-episode DIY series where Pinterest users are matched with creators to design and decorate their living spaces.

A QR code accompanying each episode will take viewers to Pinterest boards filled with shoppable products, DIY instructions and inspirational images from the show.

Pinterest said that through the QR code, audiences can save what sparks their interest, discover new ideas and make purchases from leading brand partners like Wayfair, eos and Michaels.

The episodes focus on transforming wardrobes, rooms and gathering spaces. A Pinterest board accompanies each episode, which Pinterest said will inspire other users and allow them to purchase the items shown.

All six episodes will be available to stream on The Roku Channel in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom

Alongside the show, Pinterest said it is also introducing a “Bring My Pinterest to Life” feature with over 100 actionable boards to support users with their projects such as making travel plans or launching book clubs.

These feature creative experts who share their own processes to guide users through their projects.

“It’s an entirely new way to move from inspiration to action, right from your living room, said Nadine Zylstra, Pinterest’s global head of editorial. “Bring My Pinterest to Life offers Pinterest fans and newcomers an exciting opportunity to see what’s possible, while giving advertisers innovative ways to partner with us and reach viewers at home and beyond our app.”
