The Avengers: Doomsday countdown that’s been streaming on Marvel’s official YouTube channel since January 13, 2026 underwent a subtle change on August 14 that ties back to its Hall H panel from San Diego Comic Con this year.
D23 is underway, with its highly-anticipated Honda Center presentations set to take place tonight, August 14. To celebrate, tickets for Avengers: Doomsday are now on sale everywhere, available at Fandango or wherever tickets are sold, expanding from the advance ticket sales previously only available for INFINITY VISION-certified Premium Large Format theaters.
That’s not the only big news for Doomsday; a new poster was also released today, showing Victor Von Doom clenching his fist in a villainous pose, with a bright light shining through a stained-glass window just behind him.
Of course, the most buzzed-about news from Marvel this morning involves the Avengers: Doomsday Clock countdown stream on its YouTube channel. Along with slotting in the new Dr. Doom poster, it also features a voiceover from Sue Storm, who says: “Victor was always the smartest guy in every room. He used to be different.”
Eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed that this is the same voiceover that was featured in Marvel’s Hall H Panel trailer at San Diego Comic Con this year. That trailer featured “intense shots” of Thor, Shang-Chi, Shuri, and Gambit, as well as Doom raising his hand to raise an army of dormant Sentinels from the ground in one of the most comic accurate scenes we’ve seen in a movie thus far.
While a fan’s recording of the trailer leaked on social media shortly thereafter, it was quickly scrubbed from the internet. For now, fans will have to wait for tonight’s D23 presentations for more information, though there have been a few displays on the Anaheim Convention Center floor showing off costumes from the film.
One of the most significant of these is Dr. Doom’s second armor in the movie, which includes his signature metal mask, green cloak, and a military-style outfit. Also spotted on the floor were costumes for Nightcrawler and Mystique, both characters confirmed to be in Doomsday.
