Deliveroo launches new funding option for restaurants

Deliveroo has announced a new partnership with embedded finance platform Liberis to roll out a funding solution for restaurants on the app.

Through Deliveroo Capital, Liberis will provide eligible UK restaurants and food businesses with access to flexible funding directly within the Deliveroo Partner Hub.

Merchants will be able to review and access pre-approved offers in the same place they manage orders, performance and day-to-day operations.

Eligibility will be assessed using Deliveroo platform data, as well as through Liberis”http://www.nationaltechnology.co.uk/”funding expertise”, with decisions make based on real trading performance.

Eligible merchants are notified within the Deliveroo Partner Hub, where they can review and access funding.

Payments are collected as a fixed percentage of future sales processed through the Deliveroo platform, meaning that payments flex in line with trading performance.

The food delivery platform said that this will help restaurants manage cash flow during quieter periods while clearing balances more quickly when sales are stronger.

The move marks the first phase of a longer-term partnership between the two companies designed to “support growth, resilience and scale” across the company’s merchant base, with plans to expand access over time.

The partnership comes as hospitality businesses face rising costs and fluctuating demand, making timely access to capital essential, said the delivery app, adding that Deliveroo Capital is designed to “provide funding that reflects how restaurants trade in practice.”

“Restaurants are constantly balancing operational pressures with the need to invest and grow, and our new partnership with Liberis offers a practical and accessible funding solution,” said Rob Harris, chief revenue officer and VP of merchants, Deliveroo. “We are excited to continue finding new ways to support the industry through a range of different services.”

Founded in 2013 by William Shu and Greg Orlowski, Deliveroo was taken over by DoorDash in 2025. The businesses operate across 40 countries, nine of which are with Deliveroo’s product and brand.
