Disney Dreamlight Valley 2026 Summer Showcase: Everything Announced

Disney Dreamlight Valley 2026 Summer Showcase: Everything Announced

If you’re a Disney Dreamlight Valley sicko like myself, then you were probably champing at the bit about the Summer Showcase livestream that happened earlier today, as it gave us a look at what’s coming next to one of my favorite cozy games!

Since last year’s substantial Wishblossom Ranch expansion, we hadn’t heard much about what’s coming next, though another expansion in 2026 seemed likely. Gameloft fianlly gave us a roadmap update and the reveal of the game’s first Adventure Pack, Disney Dreamlight Valley: Honeyglow Woods. This will include three “beloved” new Villagers, a whole new nook of the Valley to decorate, and four new companions to befriend.

We also got details on upcoming special editions of the game, an exclusive playthrough with the developers, and a community update.

Here’s everything that was announced!

Honeyglow Woods DLC Announcement

In recognition of the 100th anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh, Disney Dreamlight Valley will be receiving an “adventure pack” called Honeyglow Woods. This paid add-on offers a new area to explore as part of the story, three Winnie characters (Piglet, Eeyore, and Winnie himself), and various cosmetics, furniture, and meals to unlock as always.

As usual, each of the new characters will have their own questline and social links to rank up, and you’ll be able to build their home and place it wherever you like (including in the new Honeyglow Woods area).

The announcement of the “adventure pack” model is definitely the big news here, as Disney Dreamlight Valley has so far relied on only major paid expansions sandwiched between loads of free updates. This model appears to be a shift in strategy where we can expect smaller (and presumably more frequent) mini-expansions to keep us busy in between the beefier updates. The developer described adventure packs as “paid add-ons to be experienced alongside our free content updates.”

A New Kind of Portal

One of the more interesting parts of Honeyglow Woods is the introduction of a new way to get to the new area. Dreamlight loves its portals, since you’re regularly asked to journey into various pocket universes like Jack Skellington, but Honeyglow has a unique twist on the formula in the form of a tree you can plant anywhere in your world, unlocking a portal in the location when the tree reaches maturity. This tree also appears to be movable after it’s been grown, so you can change its location at-will.

Similarly, the Scrooge McDuck store Chef Remy restaurant are also grown as trees within Honeyglow Woods and have portals that can take you right to them – a pretty big improvement for those annoyed by the trek to these kinds of places we’re sometimes asked to endure in this game.

Beekeeping and Other Critters

Disney Dreamlight Valley will be adding beekeeping and honey (or hunny?) manufacturing as part of its upcoming adventure pack. By placing flowers near beehives, you’ll generate and be able to harvest this new material, which can be used to craft new meals and furniture that require the sweet substance.

They also gave a sneak peek at a new critter being added – hedgehogs.

Pooh Sticks Minigame

One of the things Disney Dreamlight Valley could definitely use more of, are cozy activities to do with your friends (you can only play Scramblecoin so many times, after all), and Honeyglow Woods will be adding just that in the form of Pooh Sticks. This minigame is a multiplayer river race where you and your cartoon friends drop items in the river and watch them race. It looks pretty silly, to be honest, which is great.

Launch Date

We now know that Honeyglow Woods will be released on July 8 of this year – just a couple weeks from now! It is priced at $16.99, and can also be bought alongside the base game for $49.99. There’s also some limited-time cosmetics available for “early adopters” of Honeyglow Words. The other expansions will also have some pretty deep discounts along the way.

2026 Disney Dreamlight Valley Roadmap

We also got some news of what’s to come later this year, which includes:

  • Ralph from Wreck-it Ralph villager coming in July
  • Two free updates in September and December of 2026
  • A paid expansion coming in October of this year

Details were pretty sparse on the rest of the content coming in 2026, but the developers boasted it’ll be “their biggest year so far.”

Community House Skin Voting is Open

One of the more fun additions to Disney Dreamlight Valley have been the house skins that let you give your abode a more interesting design than the default one, and the final announcement of the stream was that the next skin will be added later this year and will be decided by community vote, which is already open now.

Honeyglow Woods Gameplay

The stream concluded with a showcasing of Honeyglow Woods, as we got to see Winnie and friends in action! Here’s a link to the full video if you’d like to see it in action.

If you want more Dreamlight, our DDV Dreamlight Parks Fest Event guide is now live and updated for 2026 with new Woody and Buzz Quests, and limited-time Dreamlight Parks Fest Duties. We’ve also put together a comprehensive guide to the recent A Hero’s Journey update, including step-by-step walkthroughs on How to Unlock Hercules and How to Unlock Phil, and a guide to completing All Godly Glamor Star Path Duties.
