Euphoria Season 3: Episode Release Times Confirmed

Oh, Euphoria. The HBO drama quickly became a hot topic during its first season back in 2019. It’s glitzy, often feels like a music video, and can get pretty darn graphic. Seven years later, cast members like Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya have reached different stages of their career, making it all the more surprising to see most of the main cast returning to their roles for a third season.

Whether genuine excitement or morbid curiosity is inspiring you to tune in, here’s all of the release information we have for Euphoria’s new season.

Euphoria Season 3 Episode Release Schedule

Sign Up for HBO Max

Subscriptions start at $10.99/month

Euphoria will be streaming exclusively on HBO Max as one of the major highlights premiering on the service in April. The series will take over HBO’s primetime slot, with one new episode dropping every Sunday at 9pm ET. The season will once again include eight episodes total, though we haven’t seen any information about episode titles yet.

Full Schedule for Season 3

New episodes drop on HBO Max at 9pm ET/6pm PT/2am BST

  • Episode 1 – April 12
  • Episode 2 – April 19
  • Episode 3 – April 26
  • Episode 4 – May 3
  • Episode 5 – May 10
  • Episode 6 – May 17
  • Episode 7 – May 24
  • Episode 8 – May 31

The new season does in fact feature a five-year time jump, taking the main cast out of high school and into the realm of early adulthood. Trailers have already shown off some major plot points, like Cassie and Nate’s engagement and Rue’s past decisions catching up with her. The season is also premiering after the loss of a beloved castmember, Angus Cloud, and was the final role Eric Dane filmed before his passing.

Euphoria’s season 3 trailer reveals that a whole lot of chaos is in store for when the HBO show returns on April 12, from Rue potentially dealing drugs to Nate and Cassie getting married to Jules being a sugar baby. https://t.co/ZRtDpLf0oA (1/4) pic.twitter.com/Vd4rl7aaFO

We got the chance to check out the first three episodes of the show ahead of release, though writer Alyssa Mora wasn’t exactly pleased with them. Giving the episodes a 4/10, she describes that “While the cast does its best with the material, the show has become an off-the-rails crime drama with little resemblance to the series fans have come to enjoy.” Oh no!

Will There Be a Season 4?

What’s next for the show is seemingly up for debate. Speaking to Variety, Levinson admitted he’s approached each season as though it would be the last, and thus has “no plans” for a fourth one. The departure of key collaborators like music artist Labrinth also signalled that development on Season 3 wasn’t smooth sailing, and it goes without saying that the cast has become busier than ever.

All to say, a fourth season is looking unlikely.

Blythe (she/her) is an Audience Development Coordinator at IGN who, when she isn’t following streaming news, spends way too much time in character customization screens and tracking down collectibles.
