If you’ve ever wanted to operate Disneyland’s classic Haunted Mansion ride, this game’s for you. Introducing Scream Operator: Haunted House Manager, a game that, as the name suggests, lets you operate, manage, upgrade, and maintain a successful haunted house – all from the control booth of the ride.
Scream Operator is being developed by Japhet Interactive for PC, and it’s due out in Q1 2027. It’s a 2D, pixel-art, top-down management sim where you’ll operate your haunted house from the control booth – triggering pre-shows, dispatching ride vehicles, placing props and animatronics, sorting merchandise, upgrading your tech, paying the bills, and just surviving your shift. Oh, and of course the big goal: scare your guests!
A playable demo is planned for Halloween this year. In the meantime, you can wishlist Scream Operator if you’re interested.
