Kellogg’s is bringing back toys in its cereal boxes for the first time in over a decade to celebrate Toy Story 5, including Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, AppleJacks, and Corn Pops.
This welcome addition to cereal boxes will begin in the U.S. on April 27, and lucky eaters could be surprised by a spoon inspired by Woody, Buzz, or Jessie inside boxes featuring a retro design.
Throughout the campaign, there will also be other Kellogg’s cereals – Frosted Mini-Wheats, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, and Cocoa Loops – that will include classic in-box toys, spoons, trading cards, or movie ticket promotions based on Toy Story 5.
“At Kellogg’s, there’s a real sense of childhood nostalgia tied to the moments families remember most – and breakfast is a big part of that,” said Laura Newman, VP Brand Marketing at WK Kellogg Co. “Bringing toys back inside the box reintroduces that sense of discovery through a simple, screen-free moment of play that parents can now share with their own kids. Collaborating with Toy Story 5, which explores the role of toys in a tech-driven world, made this moment even more meaningful.”
To commemorate this moment, Kellogg’s is also helping bring a giant, interactive Toy Story claw machine (and other “Toy Story 5-inspired fun”) to life on Sunday, May 24, at The Grove in Los Angeles, California.
As Newman mentioned, this is a collaboration that makes sense as Toy Story 5 is all about the battle between toys and tech. When it is released in theaters on June 19, 2026, it will examine the place toys have in our world filled with screens, so any excuse to play with real toys feels like a win.
