Prominent Kick streamer Neon has responded after Rockstar appeared to reference him in a side mission shown during their special GTA 6 first-look trailer on Netflix.
Rockstar broke the internet yesterday when it premiered 26 minutes of gameplay footage from Grand Theft Auto 6 on Netflix, causing brief issues on the platform and even on Twitch, where a number of streamers were reacting to the showcase in real time.
Speaking of streamers, the highly-anticipated showcase featured a side mission where Lucia steals a car — only for a content creator to hop out of the trunk after the heist is finished, asking his viewers, “Holy sh*t chat, what do I do?”
Fans couldn’t help but notice a striking resemblance between the fictional influencer and a real-life streamer named Neon. The two boast similar features and even have the same style of haircut, prompting netizens to recreate that Leonardo DiCaprio meme as they watched the preview from home.
Neon went live on Kick the next day, where he officially addressed the topic — and while he didn’t provide any solid confirmation that he truly was the inspiration for GTA 6’s streamer character, he did thank his audience for getting him popular enough to make it a legitimate theory.
“We made it! We f**kin’ did it!” an excited Neon said as he sat in the back of a car. “Shout out to everyone in the chat. I’ve seen some reactions: A lot of people weren’t the happiest, a lot of people were showing support.
“Two streamers did text me. You know who you are, and I appreciate you. Thank you guys. …Would a B-Tier streamer really be in [this game]? Nah, I’m just kidding. That is f**kin’ sick, bro! Streaming is really taking over the game. I’m just so happy and blessed and grateful to even be seen like that, in that way.”

The streamer moment sparked a few big reactions from a handful of other popular broadcasters, with the likes of Kai Cenat, IShowSpeed, and Jynxi in disbelief that a content creator was included in the game.
“Wait, chat, they got streamers in the game?” a stunned IShowSpeed asked his viewers.
