King of the Hill Season 15 will premiere on Monday, July 20, Hulu has announced.
All 10 episodes go live then on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for Bundle Subscribers. Hulu said the new poster, below, is “packed with hints and clues about what’s to come.” The Emmy-winning series ran for 13 seasons with over 250 episodes on Fox and all seasons now stream on Hulu.
Here’s the King of the Hill Season 15 Synopsis:
Hank and Peggy settle into retirement life on Rainey Street while attempting to keep their neighbors from going off the rails. Bobby navigates old friendships while dealing with the stresses of being an entrepreneur.
The Season 15 cast includes Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss.
King of the Hill Season 14 was the most viewed adult animation season premiere in five years across Disney+ and Hulu, with 4.4 million views globally after seven days streaming, Hulu said. King of the Hill has also crossed 1 billion minutes streamed globally across Disney+ and Hulu.
In October last year, Hulu renewed King of the Hill for Seasons 16 and 17 with a 20-episode order, so there’s plenty more to come following Season 15. The adult animated series was initially revived in January 2023 with a 20-episode order.
Reviving King of the Hill 15 years after the original concluded has paid off, then, but it wasn’t a sure thing. Some of the original voice actors had passed away, both before and after taping Season 14. The U.S. has changed dramatically (as Hank Hill himself discovers upon returning from Saudi Arabia at the start of Season 14). A necessary time skip meant that characters had aged, with Bobby perhaps seeing the most dramatic changes. Given all that, creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels managed to stick the landing, which bodes well for Season 15, 16, and 17.
IGN’s King of the Hill Season 14 review returned a 10/10. We said: “King of the Hill Season 14 is a dazzling return to form for the beloved series, leveraging winning social commentary and complicated characters to cement itself as one of the greatest comebacks in animation history.”
