Monopoly F1 Edition Board Game Revealed

IGN is proud to exclusively reveal the Monopoly F1 Edition Board Game, an adventure where each player chooses their favorite Formula 1 team, competes in the Monopoly Grand Prix, fights for the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships, and much more.

The Monopoly F1 Edition Board Game is now available for pre-order on Walmart.com, and it will be released on July 15, 2026, for $39.99.

This edition of Monopoly is meant for those ages 8 and up, and it supports 2-6 players. At the start, players will choose their favorite Formula 1 team and attempt to win as many races as possible as the game goes on.

The team choice is important because each has a unique ability that is activated when you roll an F1 symbol on a die. For example, those who choose McLaren will get to either immediately move to the next race or move the number of spaces shown on the red die when an F1 symbol is rolled.

Speaking of dice, the game comes with a white and red one, and this comes into play when you are set to race an opponent for a property/race. The player who rolls the higher number will win, gaining them the race for their collection.

As to the other teams featured, there will be Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Oracle Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Ferrari HP, Atlassian Williams Racing, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, Aston Martin Aramco, Haas, Audi Revolut, BWT Alpine, and Cadillac.

Players will also be able to upgrade their car, including adding a new Front Wing that adds two to your rolls in race challenges and Soft Tires that add four to your roll when you start or finish your movement in the red zone of the Monopoly Grand Prix.

When players pass GO, they get to compete in the Monopoly Grand Prix, which is represented by an M-shaped course in the middle of the board. While players move the cars on the main game spaces, the grand prix will have players moving helmets. Whoever finishes first will win the Driver’s Championship, which is one way to win the game. The other – the Constructors Championship – is awarded to the player who has won the most points.

“Formula 1 is one of the most iconic sports properties in the world, and we’re excited to bring the adrenaline of race day — roaring engines, pit lane drama, and split-second strategy — into a game night experience,” said Billy Lagor, President of Toys and Board Games at Hasbro. “We’ve reimagined the classic Monopoly experience through the lens of F1: the circuits, the rivalries, the relentless pursuit of the podium to create something that feels authentic to both worlds — a game that F1 fans and Monopoly fans alike can sit down to and immediately feel at home.

:The collaboration between our teams produced something genuinely special, and I think fans on both sides are going to feel that the moment they open the box.”
