The PowerWash Simulator series has announced its biggest collaboration yet: a Star Wars DLC for PowerWash Simulator 2.

The PowerWash Simulator 2 – Star Wars Pack will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S this summer, and include six cleaning jobs set across the Star Wars galaxy.

Players will take on the role of classic five labor droid P0-W2 for the DLC, and wield an exclusive power washer designed specifically for the pack. Some sort of story will also be included, set during the events of the original Star Wars trilogy. Is this canon? I really hope so.

An initial trailer shows that players will be scrubbing down the Lars Homestead on Tatooine (but not the flaming corpses of Aunt Beru and Uncle Lars, presumably) as well as the interior of a Super Star Destroyer’s bridge. And, of course, you’ll be able to clean an X-Wing — which looks like its been dredged up from the bottom of a swamp.

PowerWash has featured numerous collaboration packs before (PowerWash Simulator 2’s first is themed around Adventure Time) but there’s something very cool about the series finally getting a Star Wars crossover. I interviewed PowerWash developer FuturLab several years ago when the team discussed long-held hopes they would one day secure the Star Wars license. And now, clearly, that day has indeed arrived.

“Literally, in my interview for this role, James [Marsden, then FuturLab boss] said, ‘we want the Millennium Falcon, can you get it?'” the company’s licensing and business development manager Elliot Greenwood told me, via Eurogamer. “I was like, ‘I’ll try my best’.”

Surely the Millennium Falcon will be included in the final pack? No doubt FuturLab will reveal more soon, ahead of the DLC’s arrival in a few months time. And remember, sand gets everywhere.
