Italian YouTuber Mike ShowSha got to visit Rockstar ahead of the company’s big GTA 6 Netflix showcase, where developers told him that overeager fans were literally measuring the oxygen levels around their campus in anticipation for a new trailer.
Back in June, a GTA superfan went viral for supposedly measuring oxygen levels around the Rockstar North campus. Their thinking was that, if these levels increased, more staff were on site, meaning that the team was working especially hard or preparing for a big announcement.
This same fan had set up acoustic audio equipment outside the campus and even camped outside the area, monitoring traffic from incoming and outgoing employees in a desperate attempt to gauge the status of the game’s development process.
Update: He started monitoring oxygen around Rockstar North, and he believes Trailer 3 is coming soon after noticing that oxygen levels dropped to around 20.3% and 20.04% after 5 PM, suggesting increased oxygen consumption in the area after normal working hours.

YouTuber Mike ShowSha was one of the lucky creators who got invited to Rockstar’s offices to see the game up close and personal before its extended look went live on Netflix — and he claims that employees confirmed this superfan really did measure the oxygen levels at their workplace.
“Guys, I’ve been told some weird things,” the YouTuber said in an August 28 video, via machine translation. “Like, there are people who measure oxygen levels — I don’t know how they do it, but they told me this at Rockstar, so I’d tend to believe them, because if there’s a sign that suggests there are more people inside the studios, it means development has increased, and therefore it’s about to happen. It’s crazy.”
Responses to this anecdote have been equal parts hilarious and disturbed, with one joking on X, “No wonder they started the trailer with, ‘Yoo, Crackheads!’”
“That level of obsession over a trailer is wild,” another said.
“Bruh, who thinks like this?” another asked. “I mean, it’s pretty smart, but think about what people would do if they really want something.”

While hype for this game is at an all-time high, not everyone is enthusiastic about its likely record-breaking launch, with some spouses taking to social media to claim that those who play the game are effectively cheating, due to the relationship between Jason and Lucia. We don’t know what’s wilder — that, or a fan literally camping outside Rockstar’s campus to measure its oxygen levels.
