Spider-Noir MGM+ and Prime Video Premiere Information Confirmed

Spidey fans, listen up: this one’s important for you. The highly anticipated Prime Video series Spider-Noir, which stars the impeccable Nicolas Cage, is officially going to premiere domestically two days earlier than originally slated — but, of course, there’s a bit of a catch here.

So what’s the deal? Spider-Noir will made its debut two days early on May 25 specifically on MGM+, a linear broadcast channel in the United States. The worldwide Prime Video release of the series arrives two days later on May 27, which was the show’s original release date. The news comes directly from Prime video itself, and while an early release date is usually great news, this strikes a different chord for a very specific reason.

MGM+ is both a cable channel in the U.S. and a premium add-on subscription for Prime Video that costs $7.99 a month. According to Prime Video, Spider-Noir will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear broadcast channel on May 25, then globally on Prime Video on May 27. All eight episodes will be available as a binge release, and it will not be available on the MGM+ streaming platform. The only streaming platform will be Prime Video.

Yep, you read that right: the full series will be available for MGM+ audiences on May 25, giving those fans a two day headstart on binge-watching the series via the network’s cable channel. The show’s first two episodes were previously announced to be releasing early on May 25, but now the full series will be available for MGM+ cable subscribers on that new release date.

Spider-Noir MGM+ and Prime Video Premiere Information:

  • The series will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear broadcast channel on May 25, then globally on Prime Video on May 27.
  • All eight episodes will be available as a binge release.
  • It will not be available on MGM+ streaming platform. The only streaming platform will be Prime Video.
  • The series will air on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.

Spider-Noir follows Cage as retired gumshoe Ben Reilly, who comes out of said retirement to best some baddies in 1930s New York City. The series will be playing up the noir element to the max, giving audiences the pretty cool choice of watching the show in a subgenre-accurate black and white or “true hue” color.
